Creative Movement
Our Creative Movement program orients young students to the ballet studio environment, instilling concepts of body control, personal space, and studio etiquette while building motor skills, musicality, and individual creativity in a safe and nurturing environment. It is a great introduction to group-based activities and lays a foundation for future training in all kinds of movement.

Elementary
Our Elementary program teaches the fundamentals of dance through a ballet aesthetic, focusing on meeting age-level targets for motor skill development along with building flexibility, strength, musicality, individual creativity, and personal discipline. Classes include age-appropriate activities built on improvisation and learning through play while building structure through sequential combinations, taking turns, dancing singly or in groups, and maintaining a respectful atmosphere through ballet studio etiquette.
Our Elementary program is currently divided into three levels. Elementary 1 and 2 expand on concepts introduced in Creative Movement while beginning to introduce more ballet vocabulary as well as increasing the complexity of sequences and patterns. Elementary 3 is a bridge between our Elementary and Ballet programs by introducing the study of alignment and turnout through fundamental barre work.

Students in this division take classes in ballet technique, body conditioning, pointe, and variations. Additionally, they are eligible to audition for Spokane Youth Ballet.

The class is currently open to boys ages 8-13 and may be taken by itself or as a supplement to our Ballet classes.

Adult Ballet
Our Adult Ballet program offers beginning-level classes to teens and adults of all ages, with or without prior experience. The class includes barre, center work, jumps, and basic turns. Like all Academy classes, our Adult Ballet instruction is grounded in an understanding of body mechanics, meaning that dancers will learn how to perform movements safely and efficiently, building strength and flexibility throughout the body.
Adult students can pay per class ($20) or monthly ($75) and can drop or add the class at any time. Students can also purchase a "punch card" of five classes for $90 and use their "punches" whenever they want* while still getting a discount.
*punch cards expire 90 days after purchase
